These "Street Conversations" are audio clips of my attempt to evangelize (share the good news about Jesus Christ), with my friends, family, and mostly people I meet on the street - hence the name Street Conversations. So most of them take place on the street with complete strangers, but some, for example take place in a hospital room with a friend of mine (Ed), just after he suffered a serious heart attack. Others are with family (for example, my mom), over breakfast with my kids present at the table.
Here's the disclaimer: I don't pretend to be a seasoned evangelist who has this all figured out. These are not intended to be tutorials. I don't view myself as a polished evangelist whatsoever. There are many others out there more skilled and eloquent than I am. I'm simply a Christian, who wants to see people come to know the true and living God. That's my desire.
As you listen to these conversations, you will see the mistakes that I make, and how much more I need to grow as an individual who seeks to make Jesus known to this lost and dying world. In other words, in no way am I saying, "Look at how I do it, this is the gold standard, do it like this." In fact, I'm not trying to draw attention to myself in any way.
The reason I post these is so Christians who desire to talk to people about Jesus, can see an example. Here's what it looks like to approach someone who you never met before, and talk about very serious matters like life, death, heaven and hell. You can hear their objections, and how I attempt to deal with those. These are simply examples that I hope will encourage, possibly even equip you to do the work of an evangelist and fulfill your ministry. As they say, eat the meat and spit out the bones.
May God use these for His glory, and our edification. If you have any questions, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org
